Omaha Soaring Club is located near Omaha, Nebraska. We fly every weekend during the summer months at the Blair Nebraska Airport (formerly known as Eagle Field). Our club members span the entire age and occupation fields. We have airline pilots, active duty/retired military, and homemakers just to name a few. If you want to learn how to fly, we have qualified flight instructors to teach you all aspects of sailplane flight. All you have to do is come and give it a try. We can all use Charts!! These are online and current! The "Hero" Club! If you've recently come out to the airport and taken a ride in a glider, We have your picture here! A new Email list! For those members who would like to Soar during the week. Go to the Members Only page and subscribe. Then if you want to get something going when everyone else is at work, you can send an email and it'll go only to those interested in weekday soaring! Planning on taking a written test soon? Check out this link to take Practice Written Tests! (sent in by one of our members and added to our Links page, Thanks Matt!) Visit the "Weekend Soaring Report" by club members. It tells about weekly club flying activites and "bragging rights". Membership Plan----start flying with the Omaha Soaring Club for $100.00 plus $64.00 SSA membership (12 issues of SOARING magazine, and insurance.) and $35.00 monthly dues. One year after you join pay the second $100.00 to become a full voting member. You can pay the second amount in two payments, just be sure that the club knows you are paying on your "membership".
